What is PCB Assembly?

PCB assembly is the process of combining a circuit board with other electronic components to embed in the final product. This process involves soldering various components on the circuit board to the circuit board according to the design requirements, and connecting them into a complete electronic product by means of surface mount technology (SMT) and perforation technology (THT).

Specifically, PCB assembly includes the following main steps:

  1. Add solder paste: Add solder paste to the solder pad of the circuit board, which is the most initial stage of the assembly process.
  2. Place the components: Place the electronic components on the solder paste.
  3. Reflux furnace: The component is permanently fixed on the circuit board through the reflux furnace.
  4. Wave soldering: The circuit board passes through the melted solder wave to further fix the component.
  5. Cleaning: cleaning steps after completing all welding processes.
  6. Test: test the assembly of the circuit board to ensure that all components work normally. 7. Check: Manually or automatically check the circuit board to ensure that there are no problems such as bad connectors, wrong components or misplaced components. Through these steps, the circuit board and other electronic components are effectively combined together to form a complete electronic product.
